Refi Scout is designed with your privacy as a top priority. Your mortgage data never leaves your device. We do not operate servers that store your personal financial information.
Information you provide:
Your email address, collected during onboarding to send you rate alerts and product updates. This is stored securely with our email service provider, Mailchimp.
Mortgage information:
All mortgage data you enter — including loan balance, interest rate, loan term, and property details — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This information is never transmitted to Refi Scout or any third party.
Rate data:
Refi Scout fetches national mortgage rate data from the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) API. These requests are anonymous and contain no personal information.
Subscription information:
Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Refi Scout never receives or stores your payment information.

Your mortgage data is stored locally on your device and can be deleted at any time by deleting the app. Your email address is retained in our Mailchimp audience until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
You may request deletion of your email address at any time by emailing alex@refiscout.app or by unsubscribing from any email we send.
Refi Scout is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Refi Scout after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
